About us
How did it start?
Until 2019, Skagen BikeRental was known as part of “Skagen Cykeludlejning,” which was run by Bente and Allan. At that time, they operated both locations in town, but at the turn of the year, Line and Michael took over one of the locations and changed the name to “Skagen BikeRental.”
At the end of 2020, they took over Ole Pedersen’s bike rental shop, located just 200 meters down the road. Starting with the 2026 season, they moved all operations—both Fri BikeShop and the rental business—to Vestre Strandvej 4.
Line and Michael live in Skagen with their son Benjamin and daughter Isabella. Michael was born and raised in Skagen and Line is originally from Kongerslev, but moved to Skagen when she met Michael.
Our daily life is already characterized by bicycles, as Michael owns Fri BikeShop in Skagen and Frederikshavn.
Michael is a trained bike mechanic and has worked with bikes for many years, so the bikes are always in top shape and ready for a new ride.
Bike rental all year round
Skagen BikeRental is open year-round—during peak season, you’ll mostly see Line at the rental desk. In addition to Line, you’ll also meet Hans Henrik, Victoria, Maddeline, and Maja, who are also part of the rental team.
